Gas Control Systems

Gas logging hardware combination includes:

 

• Total gas content analyzer in the drilling mud

• An active degasser

• Compositional analyzer in the gas mixture (chromatograph), and a toxic gas monitoring system (H2S, CO2, N2)

 

Gas chromatograph

Designed to determine the component-based composition of hydrocarbons in gas mixtures quickly, during gas logging while drilling wells for oil and gas in the field. Composition of hydrocarbons to be determined includes methane, ethane, propane, isobutane, butane, isopentane and pentane.

Total gas analyzer

designed for continuous determination of the percentage of the sum of hydrocarbons contained in the gas-air mixture leaving the degasser.

Infrared gas sensor (IGS) is used as a detector in the total gas analyzer.
